Description
Postosuchus lived at the time of the first dinosaurs and, like the Schleich® Dinosaurs Postosuchus, resembled a crocodile.
Postosuchus was an archosaur and thus a member of the family of modern crocodiles. It had visible ossification of the skin and a long, narrow snout. Most of the time, it moved on all fours. But sometimes, it stood on its hind legs to hold its prey with its claws. When the Schleich® Dinosaurs Postosuchus opened its powerful movable jaws, its sharp teeth resembled daggers.
Funny detail
Postosuchus is named after the place of its discovery, the town of Post in the US state of Texas.
