Description
Grizzly bears are large, robust animals - (standing) they reach a height of 2.40 meters and weigh 450 kilos. They have a kind of hump on their back and very strong hind legs. Grizzly bears can reach speeds of 55 kilometers per hour. They are solitary and often behave aggressively. Sometimes they fish for salmon in groups on the water. These omnivorous bears feed on fish, plants, and large mammals such as moose, deer, and black bears. They are also known for stealing food from wolves and humans.
