Description

Marguerite is a teenager raised from birth in the love lavished on her by her adoptive parents. She leads a very quiet life until her fourteenth birthday. From that day on, she feels the irresistible call of the sea, to the point of encouraging her entire family to head for the American coast. Just arrived, Marguerite meets a mysterious man, who will tell her that she is in fact a syrmain, a mermaid with the ability to live both on land and in the water. Nothing less!

The young girl will go from surprise to surprise as she discovers the kingdom of Lénacie, the underwater world where she was born. There, she will meet her biological mother and her twin brother Hosh, both members of the royal family. Marguerite's wonder will quickly give way to fear, however, since, as an aspirant to the throne, she must participate in the trials established by one of her ancestors, the sovereign Alek. But over the centuries, the trials have become more cruel, even barbaric.

Will Marguerite and Hosh triumph over the other contestants when their lives are sometimes threatened by sinister creatures? And will they be able to counter the cheating of their dishonest cousins?
