Description
When a rusty fog rolls in over the city, Charlie keeps her spirits up by drawing everything nature offers outside her window, including the mountain she used to visit with her sketchbook. As the days, then weeks, and months pass, Charlie gradually loses the will to do anything, even to take out her crayons. But one fine morning, in the canal that flows just below her house, a dolphin leaps high into the air. Soon, a moose, an eagle, and several other animals begin wandering around the city—a sight that inspires Charlie to get back to work creating a drawing unlike any she's ever done before. Poignantly illustrated in a luminous style, this environmentalist tale celebrates the resilience of the natural world and human creativity, and will inspire children to go outside and sketch their own vision of the world.
