The One Ring: The Initiation Box contains everything you need to take your first steps in Middle-earth, the universe invented by Tolkien in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. In addition to a condensed rulebook, a compendium details the Shire, and a 32-page booklet contains five adventures. Played one after the other, they will form a thrilling campaign that will take the heroes to the four corners of the Shire.
Of course, to explore the region, there's nothing better than hobbits. So, there are six pre-generated characters available to help you get to the heart of the matter very quickly, and of course, they're all hobbits.

The One Ring takes place between Bilbo's time traveling and the events of The Lord of the Rings, allowing you to explore the Shire as the same Hobbits whose children would go on to do extraordinary things, such as Drogon Baggins, Rory Brandybuck, and Esmeralda Took. In addition to the Rules and Adventures, you'll find a comprehensive compendium covering all four quarters of the Shire, from Green Isle and the White Shores in the west to Buckland and the Old Forest in the east.

A rulebook
A booklet describing the Shire.
An adventure booklet
Eight double-sided pre-generated character sheets.
A large double-sided map showing the Shire and Eriador
30 War Gear cards, featuring weapons and armor
Six Role/Position cards, double-sided
