Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that causes tics (involuntary movements or sounds).

Because of Tourette syndrome, my brain sometimes sends the wrong message to my body, which then produces a movement or sound that I didn't want: a tic. I have motor tics (movements) and auditory tics (sounds). The annoying thing is that my tics are often loud or even disturbing. It's embarrassing because then everyone looks at me!
