Each turn, you play three cards: one at the Queen's table to influence a family's status, one at your home, and one at an opponent's. At the end of the game, the balance of power at the banquet determines which families earn or lose you points.
On your turn, you play three Courtier cards, each representing one of the royal court families. Two of these cards are placed at your home and an opponent's to build collections. The last one is played at the Queen's table to influence each family: place a card above or below the board to give a positive or negative value to the corresponding family. The twists and turns are numerous as some Courtiers have specific roles. Spies could slip into your game and make the outcome uncertain. Or assassins could come and take away the cards that earn you the most points. To score the most points and win, you must collect the right families while preserving their value at the Queen's table.
