The Flashcards – All My Year collection is specifically designed to support children in their primary school learning, one year at a time. The format of this tool allows children not only to focus on key concepts covered in class to review at home, but also to study in a fun way with an adult.
For each school year, from Preschool to Grade 4, the cards are grouped by theme, which aims to help the learner organize and memorize the concepts covered. In addition, great care has been taken in the selection of content to ensure that it respects the child's development and follows the recommendations of the Quebec School Education Program.
The Flashcards work simply. On one side of the card, you'll find an image or question: this is the trigger for reflection. On the other side is the answer (in words or images). As an adult accompanying a child in their learning, your role is first to question them about their understanding of the question, to find clues, to check their working hypotheses, and to question their answer. Don't hesitate to rephrase a question, clarify it, or even repeat it, if necessary. The idea is to make the time they work with you fun for the student, and this is what will make these learning experiences memorable and transferable to schoolwork. And why not let the child ask you questions too? They'll be delighted!
