Description
Rhyme Finders is a game for preschoolers that focuses on rhyme awareness. Players determine whether two picture words rhyme or not and try to win the race against Gargotte the monster before he devours the Vlipous' feast.
In this game, which targets syllable awareness, "rhyming" means presenting phonetically identical final syllables (not just identical final sounds).
The game is part of the Gargotte et les vlipous collection, which is aimed at preschool and first-grade elementary school students and targets the development of phonological awareness, or awareness of syllables and sounds in words. It includes materials for one to four players. A game lasts between 5 and 10 minutes, which allows for one or more games, changing or not the sets of cards depending on the student's skill.
Each player can correct themselves independently, which allows for use in a workshop context, in a subgroup or even in individual intervention.
